Notes for Windows 7:

Current & Recent Production Versions of Wordshark & Numbershark:

All single user and network versions from release 4.06 are compatible with Windows 7 computers (both 32 bit and 64 bit).

Older Single User and network  Versions:

Windows 7 x32 bit computers:

Experience to date is that release 4.05 back to release 3.08 will run on many 32-bit Win 7 PC machines, whether these have been upgraded from XP or Vista, or are fresh Windows 7 installs.

On a minority of 32-bit computers, the quality of sound or graphics falls short of  acceptable standards, but these issues are reduced or cured by right-clicking the desktop icon, left-clicking  “Properties”, selecting the “Compatibility” tab and selecting “XP SP3” compatibility.   This requires Win 7 “Home Premium” version, or higher: This feature is not present on Win 7 “Basic”, installed mainly on  budget-end net books. In such cases, or if the “compatibility” tab does not clear the problem, then you are advised to contact Sales for upgrade prices.

Windows 7 x64 bit computers:

If you buy a 64 bit computer, and have a Wordshark or Numbershark version earlier than 4.06, please contact Sales or your local distributor for upgrade prices.

For all v 3 and 4 releases to 4.05, there are significant graphics and sound issues with most 64-bit machines. These are particularly noticeable on machines with Multi-Touch touch screen capability. “Compatibility Tab” options may help to some extent, as described above.

Is my computer a x32 bit or x64 bit machine?

Click on the Start circle / right click “Computer” and left-click “Properties”. Under the “System” heading, look for “System type”.
