Wordshark 3 and 4, and Numbershark 3 and 4 single-user CDs  are designed for use on non-networked  PCs and Apple Macintosh computers. Both require a computer with a CD or DVD drive. Contact us for advice if you do not have a CD/DVD drive or have other special requirements (e.g. Peripatetic teaching staff or home tutors)

Old versions   

The original  Numbershark, Wordshark, Wordshark 2, and Wordshark 2L, were designed for operating systems DOS, Win95 and Win98, do not run well on more recent operating systems, and are no longer supported. If you wish to upgrade, please Contact Sales.

 

Networks

We have network version of both programs for the PC, and different networks versions for Macs.  Network licences allow deployment across a whole network in a single geographical location, for use on a stated number of concurrently used computers (minimum of 10, incrementing in 5s).  Please note the “Networks” tab, particularly if your school uses network management software.

Using a Linux server with XP clients to run our PC network versions of Wordshark 4 or Numbershark 4: This normally works well. Call us if you experience any issues.

 

Hybrid Mac/PC networks do not work and are not supported.
