9. Sound issues, including Recording:  “Soundcard not available: Cannot run”
Our programs will not work unless they have access to a working soundcard. This error is most typically seen if trying to run our programs remotely. Typically, the program will “hang” at the opening screen, then close. Error messages such as the one below may or may not be shown.
The programs may work whilst logged on remotely as System Admin, but not then work remotely if logged on as a restricted user. This error is most commonly seen on networks with thin client / remote desktop working
A) Try running from the client machine - if a soundcard is fitted, check this is functioning.
B) Try enabling external sound within the remote desktop / thin client configuration.
