Backing Up Data:
For many schools and parents, the “pupil records” facilities in our programmes are very helpful. Backing up your data can save considerable frustration and wasted effort. This section includes pages on how to back up your data.

Security -
We suggest that students should be “restricted users” if your operating system allows this. Further hints and suggestions are included for hidden files and passwords
Safety with fast (x24 or faster) CD or DVD Drives:
If using a fast drive, please check your CD for cracks around the spindle hole in line with national advice: Any CD with such damage must not be used, as it could shatter. Our sales department can exchange damaged disks (even shattered ones!) for a small administration charge. In the case of cracks round the spindle hole please contact Support so that we can arrange a free replacement on grounds of safety.
Note that is it recommended that CD / DVD drives running at x24 or faster should have a warning sign alerting users to the risks of these fast drives.
Safety with Interactive White Boards & Projectors
Wordshark and Numbershark can be used very effectively with interactive white boards (IWBs) and touch screens, and from version 3(s).05 onwards every game will work well with most IWBs. Click here for important safety warnings
