RM Classmate (tm) with pupil desktops
As a security measure, RM Classmate sets a number of permissions by default .
Some of these default settings prevent Numbershark and Wordshark from working correctly.
Specifically, the default “write” permissions for restricted users prevent both programs from saving records and word lists for children unless signed in with manager rights.
R.M. Plc are aware of this, and can advise users on changing permissions to allow children to be signed in as restricted users and still have their wordlists and records saved.
We have been told by school technicians that this is done by going to the command prompt and typing in:
caclas "C:\Program Files\Numbershark 3\numbershark-shared" /T /G /everyone:f
