A feature of Wordshark and Numbershark is that the programs compile detailed records for each student. These include information such as:

dates and times of sessions-games played-speeds-accuracy-errors

Teachers often find this information useful towards assessment, diagnosis, progress review, individual education plans, target setting, annual reviews and so on.

Students must be registered to Numbershark or Wordshark for records to be compiled.  Students who are not registered will NOT have records compiled,  and will not be able to record their own word lists in Wordshark.

To prevent students from signing on as temporary students:
(This feature is not included in versions prior to release 3.03)
Sign on as program administrator. Go to Admin  menu, and tick the box for “No temporary students”.  Only students registered to the program will then be able to access it. Others will see a “name not found” message.

To register pupils to the program:
Sign on as program administrator. Go to Admin  menu, / Add and Manage Students / Add student.  Note that you may sign on individual pupils (with or without a password),  OR sign on several pupils at a time (without a password). If your pupil names are in a CSV file, click here.

If you have registered your pupils, but they get a message  during login saying they are a temporary student, then either they or you have typed their name incorrectly, or there is a fault: This may be a corrupted file, but is more likely to be an error during the install process. Contact us

FAQ 1: When we sign on, we get the message “xxx is a temporary student”. What does this mean?
