Wordshark and Numbershark store records of pupils’ work. Under the terms of the Data Protection Act, we advise that you may wish to allocated passwords to all users to afford a suitable level of privacy. Programme Administrators are required to have passwords.
Any administrator can add further administrators, and we ask that each adult/educator has their own unique user name. If all staff sign on with the same username, then a file sharing violation can result, leading to potential loss of data. We strongly recommend that a school has more than one administrator
As with all passwords, we would advise that staff avoid using passwords such as “teacher” which can easily be guessed by pupils. The passwords are encoded and stored on the computer: The encoding is not unbreakable, so we advise that you do not use a password that is used for other purposes, such as your bank PIN.
LOST PASSWORDS:
If an administrator loses or forgets their password, any other administrator can sign on using their own username and password, go to “Admin/Add and manage students/View any other administrator /Click (right side of screen) on the “lost” person, then on “Change password”.
A child’s administrator can change the child’s password. Again sign on as administrator, go to admin / add and manage students / change student password.
A child can change their own password, under “Settings for... / change password”

First, please check the version number: At the login screen, go to file / version.
Then, check the administrator user name: At the login screen, go to file / list of administrators
