as different releases are optimised for different OSX.            

Mac OSX 10.7 “Lion”

This OSX is supported from our release 4.08 (Dec 2011).

Customers with  v4.07 may  contact us for a Lion patch.

Customers with earlier releases who wish to run on Lion need to contact Sales for an upgrade price.

System Requirements:

CD or DVD drive*

512 Mb RAM or more

Screen Resolution 800x600 or better

1Gb of hard disk space, and further space for OS updates.

PowerMac G3, Powerbook G3, IMac, eMac, Ibook or better

Good quality headphones or external speakers+microphone

A printer is useful:

Wordshark includes word lists,  word searches and crossword puzzles

Numbershark includes many pages of sums.

Mac networks are available: These are different to our Windows networks, so please specify “Mac network” when ordering.  We are unable to provide network disks or support for hybrid Mac+Windows networks. (e.g. Mac clients and Windows server, or any server running our program on a mixture of Mac and Windows clients)

For home users, Single-user CDs of Wordshark and Numbershark are available. Note these require the CD to be in the local drive. Unlike the network version, the single user CD works on both PC and Mac.

* If wishing to use the CD version with a Mac Thinbook or Mac Air, you will need an external CD drive or contact us for an alternative version not needing a CD drive.

Upgrading your computer or buying new? Please check the Compatibility Chart  Note that Mac graphics & sound handling has changed substantially from OSX 10.3, and forward compatibility  cannot be guaranteed.

Note: Our programs do not run on a “PC Emulator”

or  operating systems earlier than  OSX 10.3 “Panther”
