Wordshark and Numbershark can be used very effectively with interactive whiteboards (IWBs) and touch screens,  and from version 3(s).05 onwards every game will work well with most*  IWBs.

When using IWBs with ANY program, including our own, please be aware of the potential risks to eyes from the beam from the data projector, and take precautions.

Tests carried out by the UK National Radiological Protection Board have shown that the peripheral vision of users may be harmed even when they are not looking directly into the beam of the projector. Damage to the retina, causing tunnel vision, can result.

Becta has an article about this issue, and a further useful article is at:

A very helpful “health and safety poster” along with other IWB tips is at:

*  There are so many makes of IWB, with so many IWB software tools, that we are unable to exhaustively test each one. Please tell us if you find any that do not work well with Wordshark or Numbershark.

We have not had reports of problems running our software on any IWB.  Our software is  formally accredited by Steljes  (Smartboard )and Promethean.
